This year, each day, I intentionally focus on how I bring peace to the world. While walking toward my office, I reflect on the ways I can offer peace. As I drive, I mediate on bringing peace to those around me on the road. As I listen to others, I pray for them to know God’s peace within. I am acting with purpose to bring God’s peace to each situation. In the silence, live and move in peace…

I have led several groups and retreats, enough to know that each one is unique. Each group has a little mission, whether it is known or not by us. God reveals the mission as the group or retreat move forward. When I see the growth, God is revealed to me again. Have you experienced God guiding you in a group or on a retreat?

Today is the feast day of St Matthias the Apostle. He was picked to become an Apostle after the Resurrection of Jesus. (ACTS1:15-17, 20-26) How often do you ask to be picked to spread the good news of the Gospels? Many times we try to deny that God is choosing us to serve in a greater way. We don’t want to be responsible. Is God calling you to more?

No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends…’” ~ JN15:12-17 Most Mothers have laid down their life in some way for their children. God has given you this particular woman as your Mother for a reason. How can you honor her during this day of celebration? What can you do to make her day special? If she has died, can you remember her with kindness, despite all her failings?

Driving down a busy road, I notice that the person in the car near me is looking at or talking on his cell phone. Around me, cars are wandering across lanes and making bad moves because of chatting on the phone while driving. Please park to talk on the phone; you are putting yourself and others in danger. Praying for distracted souls while driving.
